today, i feel like i had such a great healthy day. i woke up this morning and made my ggs - i wasn't even hungry until about 1, when i made lunch. i had a brown rice stir fry (one egg, avocado, and tamari sauce) and one of the kimberly snyder key lime pie bars i had made this morning. the key lime pie bars are incredible. (cashew, honey, lime juice, coconut oil, and water) when dinner time came around, i felt like doing work in the kitchen. i decided to make kimberly snyder's alkaline-grain veggie burgers. I did half of the recipe and still ended up with four patties (so I have leftovers now). it was made with garlic, onions, celery, carrots, spinach, cooked quinoa, amaranth flour, and an egg, seasoned with salt, pepper, chili powder, and tamari sauce. i cannot believe how amazing this recipe was - it called for millet but i couldn't find any at the grocery store, so i used quinoa instead; i also added an egg (not very beauty detox) but it needed some wetness and i figured an egg would help hold the patty together. i also had some key lime pie bar for dessert. |
